Secure Secondary Posting
ITPS will log each transmission attempt, and record the returned message, whether it is a success or a failure. If the return indicates that the transmission was unsuccessful, ITPS will give the transmission a status of "Pending" and mark the number of times an automatic retry has been attempted as "0". ITPS will automatically retry the transmission once an hour. If the transmission is subsequently successful, the status will be changed to "Posted", and the number of attempts will be incremented to reflect how many attempts it took for the transmission to be sent. In the event that ITPS is unable to get a successful response for a transmission after five attempts, ITPS will update the status to "Failed", and will not attempt to post the transaction again. At that point, ITPS will bundle *all* of the transactions in "Pending" status for that publication that have the same destination into one file. ITPS will also include the error messages that have been returned during the transmission attempts. The bundle will sent to SAF-T to be securely transferred to you, using the encryption key and specified directory in your SAF-T account.
